Our son Jonah was born November 19, 2007 at 4:20 PM. He was 19.5 inches and weighed 8 lbs. We didn't quite make it to the hospital in time so Jonah was born in the back seat of the car just outside the emergency room. Although Anne did most of the hard work, we are ever grateful for the help of our doula Mary Esther Hopwood and a couple of paramedics who delivered Jonah's shoulders. If we had gotten to the hospital a few minutes earlier we would have avoided making the local paper here.
